Jamaica's Digital Entry Form for Arrivals Takes Effect – Open Jaw

Travel News & Views for Canadian Travel Agents

Effective 01SEP, all travellers entering Jamaica must complete a new digital entry form.
“Arriving in Jamaica just got easier,” said Jamaica’s director of tourism, Donovan White. The compulsory online passenger declaration aims to make the entry process more efficient for those coming to the country and reduce waiting times in both Immigration and Customs.

Although passengers can fill in the form before departure, during their flight, or upon arrival, authorities advise pax to complete it beforehand.
The initiative is the first of its kind in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), and is intended to expedite the processing of passengers and their luggage at Jamaica’s international airports, as well as lead the way in the region towards digitalizing airport entry procedures.
The Online Passenger Declaration (C5) Platform, announced in JUL 2019, was conceived by Jamaica’s Passport, Immigration, and Citizen Agency (PICA) in partnership with the Jamaica Customs Agency.
More information and the new digital entry form are available here.
